Jason's 5th Floor Celebration

Welcome to Puerto Rico!
Here you’ll find everything you need for the trip - from airport info and getting around to all the fun activities we’ve planned, featuring some of Jason’s Puerto Rico favorites. Plus fun facts and cultural highlights to get you excited!
Travel Recommendations

Luis Muñoz Marín Int'l Airport (SJU)
We recommend flying into San Juan International Airport (SJU) because it is close to most lodging options. This makes it easy for you to settle in and start enjoying your stay without hassle. Safe travels!

Transportation
We recommend taking an Uber from the airport to your lodging, with an average wait time of 10 minutes. While the island is rental-car friendly, exploring by car is a great option, but it may not be necessary for our planned events.

Important to Pack!
El Yunque is a must-visit for all avid hikers, so don’t forget to pack your hiking shoes! Along with your beach attire and dancing shoes, make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, as it can get hot and humid.
Jason's Favorites

Chinchorreo is one of Jason’s favorite things to do in Puerto Rico - a scenic food and drinks crawl through the mountains with stops along the way for delicious local food, drinks, and music. It’s a must-do experience and at the top of our weekend to-do list.

Another favorite is the iconic vibes of La Placita - a lively neighborhood in Puerto Rico known for its music, dancing, and casual fun. Be ready to dance in the streets and soak in the energy.
Add El Yunque, a tropical rainforest in northeastern Puerto Rico, to the list of favorites. We highly recommend a waterfall hike for breathtaking views and natural beauty.

Jason’s family is from the beautiful island of Vieques, a stunning tropical gem just a 30-minute flight from San Juan. Known for its breathtaking beaches and world-famous bioluminescent bays, Vieques is truly one of a kind.
